Residents of Wallingford are invited to participate in an important referendum on Thursday, 6 February 2025, to determine the future of local planning decisions.
The referendum will ask the question: “Do you want South Oxfordshire District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Wallingford to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”
The Wallingford Neighbourhood Plan outlines a vision for the town’s development, providing a framework for housing, infrastructure, and community projects. Your vote will help decide whether this plan becomes a key consideration in local planning applications.
Key Deadlines to Note:
Register to Vote: Ensure you are registered to vote by midnight on Tuesday, 21 January 2025. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
Postal Votes: Apply, amend, or cancel postal votes by 5 pm on Wednesday, 22 January 2025. Visit www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote to apply.
Proxy Votes: New applications for proxy votes must be submitted by 5 pm on Wednesday, 29 January 2025. Learn more at www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote.
