(21 hours per week, part time including weekends and bank holidays) £12.28 per hour.

Wallingford Town Council are looking to recruit a permanent part-time Parks & Estates Warden. They will work 21 hours each week including on Saturday and Sunday 2 hours each weekend morning to coincide with the opening of the Castle Gardens and 1 hour each weekend evening to coincide with closing the Castle Gardens.

The post holder will work flexibly as a valuable member of the Parks and Estates team with a focus on care of Town Council property and estate, and practical maintenance. They will help with the upkeep of the town’s open spaces, and have responsibility for opening and locking up the Castle Gardens and litter picking in our parks and open spaces at the weekend.

Castle Gardens Opening times

• 1^st October until 31^st October (8.30am till 5pm)
• 1^st November until 31^st March (8:30am – 3pm)
• 1^st April until 31^st May (8:30am – 6pm)
• 1^st June until 30^th September (8:30am – 7pm)
