Urgent Job Advertisement
  1. To work in accordance with the Council’s Health and Safety Policy to ensure that its obligations for Risk Assessment are met.
  2. To attend all meetings of the Council and its standing Committees, being directly responsible for producing the agendas and minutes for those meetings.
  3. To ensure all agendas and draft minutes are produced within the Council’s approved timescales, are of the required standard, in a consistent style and uploaded on the Council’s website and displayed in the designated notice boards.
  4. To assist with general administrative tasks as directed by Town Clerk including filing; photocopying; typing letters, reports, and other forms of record-keeping.
  5. Hours will be flexible but must include all Council and Committee meetings (Monday and some Wednesday evenings from 7pm)
  6. You will be primarily based at 8a Castle Street, Wallingford, Oxon, OX10 8DL, but flexibility of working from home will be considered.

  • Experience of working in local government an advantage
  • Proven administration experience
  • Literate and numerate
  • Organised
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy

Working Relationships: The role requires excellent working relationships to be maintained with other members of staff, elected Members, other Councils, local organisations, groups, and community members.
