In July you can see Royal Swan Upping pass through Wallingford and they sometimes stop off if there are swans in the area that need to be counted.
Royal Swan Upping is an annual ceremonial voyage along the River Thames in which a census of the swan population is taken.
Royal Swan Uppers wear the scarlet uniform of the Royal Family and travel in traditional skiffs for the annual ceremony.
