Community, Business and Tourism Development Officer
Salary : SCP26 (currently £30,451), 37 hours per week, initial one-year contract.
Wallingford Town Council are looking to recruit someone to be responsible for the development and promotion of community and tourism events to create an improved experience for residents and visitors alike, whilst increasing revenue generation.
The post holder will liaise with businesses, attractions, community groups and other stakeholders to forward the sustainable development of the Town, and to create, arrange, manage and promote events throughout the Town.
Relevant experience in this field is essential for this important role which is a combination of marketing, public relations and project management. The role also demands considerable planning and preparation as well as the ability to work with other groups of people and staff already in place. Knowledge of working within a legally recognised historic environment will be highly beneficial.
The role is full time, 37 hours per week flexible.
This role will be reviewed after 12 months.
